The story takes place in the Johto Region of Pokemon. It's recommended to have a basic knowledge of the franchise before reading. In this world, a "Nuzlocke" started a few months prior, sparking a few events among the local residents.

The one who starts it all is a sentret, who will do everything he can to save the day. His recruits realize that it's not quite so simple, especially to a lost cyndaquil.

Things of note:

• The story started in 2015. The complete story has gone through many changes over the years.

  • Among those changes is the art style and format.

• Pokemon can understand human speech, and are sometimes able to read their language too. Humans, however, cannot understand Pokemon-speak. There's still debates over whether or not Pokemon have their own language.

  • Humans do see Pokemon as intelligent beings, however, and are usually welcome at public places and some stores.

• The story's date was intended to start on November of 1999, based on when Pokemon Silver and Gold came out. This is also why the togepi line is relatively uncommon. You can see this story happening at any time, though.
